Background check guide by country
Every tutor on TutorCelle must submit a recent criminal background check before they can see requests posted by parents on behalf of a child. The exact document depends on where the tutor lives. This page lists the document we accept from each country.
The rule
The document must be (1) issued by an official authority or accredited provider, (2) dated within the last 12 months, and (3) cover criminal record / sex-offender history for the tutor's country of residence. We accept the local equivalent — no need for a US-style report if you don't live in the US.
Accepted documents by country
Tutors in any country not listed below should submit an apostilled police clearance certificate (Hague Apostille Convention) from their country of residence.

We currently do not accept tutor applications from residents of the following countries, because no reliable national background check exists or local issuance is not consistently verifiable. If your situation has changed and you can provide a verifiable equivalent, contact support.
