Tutor requirements
TutorCelle is a trusted marketplace for families worldwide. Verified tutors keep 100% of what they earn and arrange sessions directly with students. Here's what's needed to join.
Eligibility
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have a government-issued photo ID for identity verification.
- Be fluent in at least one language of instruction.

- Relevant qualifications, certifications, or degrees for the subjects you teach (uploaded as PDF or image).
- Teaching experience, work history, or portfolio when applicable.

Profile standards
Great profiles earn more inquiries. You're not required to use your full legal name — a display name or just your first name is fine.
Clear profile photo
A friendly, well-lit headshot. No group photos, logos, or heavy filters.
Honest, well-written bio
Describe your teaching style, experience, and the learners you work best with.
Subjects & levels
List the subjects, levels, and curricula you can confidently teach.
Languages & availability
Add the languages you teach in and a realistic weekly availability.
How verification works
- 1Sign up with your email and verify your address.
- 2Build your tutor profile — display name (you can use just your first name or a display name), bio, subjects, rates, and availability.
- 3Upload your ID and supporting credentials for review.
- 4Our team reviews your application (typically within a few business days).
- 5Once approved, your verified badge appears and families can find and message you.

The following are grounds for warnings, suspension, or removal. Repeated or severe violations may also be referred to authorities.
Identity & credentials fraud
Fake names or photos, forged qualifications, or impersonating another tutor.
Off-platform contact & payment evasion
Pushing students off TutorCelle, sharing phone/email/external app handles, or asking for payment through channels that hide the transaction. Messages are automatically scanned for this.
Safety with minors
Inappropriate conduct, private 1:1 contact with a minor without a parent's consent, or sharing personal social media with under-18 students. For any video session with a student under 18, a parent or guardian must be visible on camera for the duration of the session. Sessions that proceed without the parent on camera are not allowed and may be reported.
Harassment & hateful conduct
Harassment, discrimination, hate speech, sexual content, threats, or sharing another user's private information.
Academic dishonesty
Completing graded homework or exams for a student, ghostwriting submitted work, or assisting with proctored tests.
Spam & manipulation
Fake reviews, duplicate accounts, mass-messaging, or misleading subject, level, or price listings.
No-shows & non-delivery
Repeatedly missing scheduled sessions or failing to deliver agreed lessons without notice.
Illegal activity
Anything unlawful in the tutor's or student's jurisdiction.
Students, parents, and tutors can flag concerns from any profile or conversation. Our moderation team reviews reports and may issue a warning, suspension, or permanent removal depending on severity.
